Where to stay
Where to Stay in Comoro, Dili
Comoro is Dili's newer western district, between the airport and the centre. It is quieter than the waterfront, 10 to 15 minutes from the centre, and next to Timor Plaza with its supermarket, food court and ATMs, which makes it the most practical base for long stays, business trips and early flights.

What is nearby
Timor Plaza is the main shopping mall in Dili, with a supermarket, pharmacy, food court and ATMs. The airport is on the western edge of Comoro, and many offices, embassies and NGOs are a short drive away. The waterfront bars and restaurants are a taxi ride east.
Who Comoro suits
Comoro suits long-stay workers, consultants and NGO staff, business travellers with meetings near Timor Plaza, families who want a pool and a supermarket nearby, and anyone with an early flight. It suits first-time visitors who want to walk to the sea and the sights less well: for a short stay, the waterfront or central Dili is better.
