Mountains and the south coast

These figures are for Dili, on the dry north coast. The mountains are much cooler: above 1,000 metres evenings are cool, and at the summit of Mount Ramelau (2,963 m) it can drop below 5°C before dawn. The mountains and the south coast also get more rain than Dili, and rains start earlier inland, from the end of September or October. See when to go.
