Contact East Timor Guide
How to contact East Timor Guide with corrections, new places to list, partnership enquiries or questions about travelling in Timor-Leste.
Updated
The best way to reach us is by email: hello@easttimorguide.com. We read everything and reply to most messages within a few days.
Corrections and updates
If a price, schedule or rule on the site is out of date, please tell us. Timor-Leste changes quickly, and readers on the ground are our best source. The most useful messages include:
- the page (a link is ideal) and what is wrong;
- what you found instead, and when you saw it;
- a source if you have one: a photo of a timetable, price board or menu, an official notice, or a receipt.
We check every correction before changing a page, and update the "Last verified" date when we do. See how we research for our standards.
Suggest a place to list
Know a guesthouse, restaurant, café or tour operator we should include? Send its name, location, a contact number or social media page, and what makes it good. We only list places we can confirm are open, and listing is free: we never charge for inclusion or for a better position. See where to stay and where to eat for what we already cover.
Partnership enquiries
If you run accommodation or tours in Timor-Leste and are interested in a partnership, read our partner policy first, then email us with your details. Partners are always labelled, and partnerships never affect what we write about other places.
Press and media
Journalists and researchers are welcome to get in touch for background on travel in Timor-Leste or to ask about our sources.
What we cannot help with
- Visas and permits: we cannot apply for visas or arrange paperwork. See the visa guide and contact the Migration Service or your nearest Timor-Leste embassy.
- Bookings: we do not take bookings. Contact hotels, restaurants and operators directly; our listings include their details.
- Emergencies: if you need urgent help in Timor-Leste, call the police on 112 or your embassy. See emergency numbers and embassies.
- Personal trip planning: we cannot plan individual trips, but every question helps us improve the guides. Check the travel A–Z and the search page first.
