Timor-Leste sits in the Coral Triangle, and a fringing reef runs along the north coast, often starting a few metres from shore. Atauro's reefs are the highlight: in a 2016 Conservation International survey, they averaged 253 reef fish species per site, the highest average recorded.
This plan splits the week between Dili-based shore diving and Atauro's boat dives, and leaves the last 24 hours free of diving before your flight.
